super

really, when it comes down to it, if i could have a super power, it would either have to be invisibility or the ability to freeze time.

flying would be cold and not as easy and quick as driving (what with all the controls on air traffic and what not). plus, everytime i picture flying to work, i picture that scene from "dumb and dumber" when they drive jim carey's moped to wherever and when they get to their destination they're all covered with dead bugs. p.s. i strongly dislike the movie "dumb and dumber".

and i have a feeling that being able to read people's minds would just prove how little attention people pay to me when i talk to them.

and if i was ultra strong i'd feel obligated to somehow fight crime.

yep. invisibility and time freezing are definitely the way to go.

Hey, is that a picture from Out of this World? I remember that show...

One thing I never could figure out about the whole time-stopping thing is whether the time stopper's aging process also stopped when time froze. 'Cuz if not, if you do it too much or for too long, you'll end up looking like you're in your 60s while the rest of your friends are still in their 20s...

The power of freezing time would just be wasted on me, though, since I would pretty much use it to get extra sleep after my alarm goes off in the morning.

OUT OF THIS WORLD! I've been trying to remember the name of that show for YEARS! From what I remember it was like Sabrina the Teenage Witch of the late '80s. Good point, John, about the freezing time thing. As for my super power, I've always wanted a Green Lantern ring. Green Lantern has always been my favorite superhero from the DC universe (with Iceman being my favorite from the Marvel side).

I'd go with Telekinetic powers..very handy when needed items are out of reach.

Hey, did the girl from "Out of This World" ever meet up with her starfighter father again?
I hope so.

Good powers. I don't know what I want. Maybe the power to help people everywhere look good all the time...

I'm gonna have to go with invisibility. Although I don't know if my moral compass is strong enough to handle the temptations that come with such a power.

I'd want the ability to make money. Without working. Or doing anything illegal.

My brother and I had this discussion not long ago. He decided that having Magneto's power would be the ultimate power to have, because, if he were able to fully control the magnetic nature of everything object (himself included) then he can pretty much to all the same stuff that every other super hero can do.

My take on it was, I would rather have Nightcrawler's ability. It may not reach the same scope that Magneto's might have, but if Nightcrawler were to have full understanding and control of his powers, then he would have the ability to do much more than what he is able to now. More than just vamping from place to place. It would include taking over peoples minds and bodies, traviling in space, and possiblity time travel.

Couple that with super human strength, then I think he would almost be on the same plane as Magneto.

When it came right down to it, grasping full understanding of either Magneto's or Nightcrawler's mutant abilities would prove too time consuming. I would rather just want to by-pass rush hour traffic and catch the Simpson's on time.
